Our love for detail, our artisanal skill, and the passion for uncompromising quality are part of our long tradition and incomparable. Since the company was founded in 1980, we have deliberately focused on genuine handcrafted work and produce a large part of the HUNTER products in our manufactory in Bielefeld. A variety of highly individual work steps are hidden behind each product.
Starting with the selection of materials, through their cutting, stamping of the individual shape, and folding of the comfortable lining leather, to securely sewing the individual components, attaching the buckles, and quality control, each product goes through our entire production process until it ultimately reaches the four-legged friend.
Special Comfort
Almost all collars, harnesses, and leashes from our extensive range are double-lined with soft cow nappa leather and are therefore particularly gentle on the coat. Highly stressed areas are reinforced inside with plastic and textile bands to increase durability without compromising the softness of the products.
The D-rings on the padded products are intricately sewn between the upper and lower material and offer a special advantage due to the resulting smooth inner surface. Comfort and quality without compromise – that is what HUNTER stands for.
Folded Edge Processing
Our collars, harnesses, and leashes made of leather and faux leather are at least single folded, most even double folded, to always provide the best possible comfort for the sensitive dog’s neck or body and the human hand. Folding, i.e., folding in the leather edges, ensures that the side facing the dog’s body does not come into contact with an open edge. Skin and coat are thus optimally protected. We have always used soft nappa or easy-care faux leather as lining leather.
Neoprene Padding
In neoprene series, durable nylon and cushioning neoprene combine in a way that every dog owner appreciates. The soft and extra-wide padding adapts perfectly to every dog’s neck and is also very comfortable to handle for humans.
Trimmings and Fittings
Besides selecting the optimal material for collars and leashes, high-quality trimmings and reliable fittings or fasteners are a must for the safety of dog and owner in every situation.
Engraving and Embossing
HUNTER products are marked with our distinctive lettering or logo. This way, as a customer, you can always be sure you are buying an original HUNTER product. Exclusive fittings with HUNTER engraving and the refinement of other components such as stopper rings and fasteners with the HUNTER lettering.
Aluminum Closure “Alu-Strong”
The low weight of the “Alu-Strong” closure ensures special wearing comfort; it is also easy to open and close and is designed for a tensile load of up to approximately 200 kg – depending on size. The rust-free “Alu-Strong” closure impresses with high color and material resistance. Even low temperatures cannot affect the high-gloss polished snap closure.
